Dr. Charles Brown earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio, and his Master of Arts degree from Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. He received his medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine. Dr. Brown continued his training with an Internship in Internal Medicine at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, and a Residency in Dermatology at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire. He then participated in a Dermatology Fellowship at the Marshfield Clinic in Wisconsin.
Board certified in Dermatology, Dr. Brown began work at Charlotte Dermatology in 1992. He worked there until 1997 when he and Dr. John A. Thompson, Jr. formed the Dermatologic Laser Center — the first dermatology practice in North Carolina to offer Laser Hair Removal services. Dr. Brown is excited about the practice’s recent transition to Dilworth Dermatology & Laser at the new Dilworth office. He keeps up with all of the latest developments and cutting-edge techniques in the field by pursuing continuing education. Dr. Brown has advanced training in sclerotherapy, application of dermal fillers and laser applications for dermatology.
Dr. Brown has been consistently honored by being named to the Best Doctors of Charlotte every year since 2005. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Mecklenburg Medical Society and Charlotte Dermatology Association.
